iFitness APP is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use our service:

• Account information: your name and email address when you sign up
• Health and fitness data: age, height, weight, fitness goals, dietary preferences, and activity level — provided by you during onboarding and updated over time
• Usage data: daily meal and workout logs, water intake, and weight entries you record in the app
• Progress photos: photos you optionally upload for visual tracking (stored securely on our servers)
• Device and technical data: browser type, device type, and timezone — used to deliver the correct experience

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Generate and personalise your meal plan, workout programme, and calorie targets
• Power the AI coach, which is aware of your goals and logged progress
• Send transactional emails (account verification, login codes, password resets)
• Process subscription payments securely via Stripe
• Improve the service through anonymous, aggregated usage analysis

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. AI and Third-Party Services

Plan generation and the AI coach are powered by the Anthropic Claude API. Relevant context from your profile and goals is sent to Anthropic to generate responses. Anthropic's use of data for API customers is governed by their Privacy Policy.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Stripe's privacy practices are described in their Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secured servers. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Progress photos are stored in a non-public directory accessible only through authenticated requests.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (for example, payment records).

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)

7. Cookies and Local Storage

iFitness APP uses browser local storage to save your plan and daily logs on your device between sessions. We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or in-app notice. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.
